Sarah Lassiter is an artist who works primarily in photography, video, and sculpture. She is interested in how we interact with photography in our everyday lives; from photographs as physical object to commands and filters offered on smartphones and apps. By looking at the relationships we have to photographs, she asks how we place significance on images. She works with and is inspired by her family photos, found imagery, and applications like Snapchat and Instagram. Lassiter has exhibited across central Indiana at venues such as the Muncie Makes Lab and the Atrium Gallery. She attended Ball State University where she studied photography and intermedia arts as well as art history. Sarah is based in St. Louis, Missouri.
